We were excited to have Tina aka Swiss Miss with us at the Sandbox event last Wednesday in New York. We realized that we had common roots back in Switzerland that have shaped me and my life-story profoundly: Tina founded the national political organization of high school students, USO (www.uso.ch) in Switzerland. For me and my fellow Sandbox founders Antoine Verdon and Nico Luchsinger this was the first time that we became active in a leadership role within a larger organization and ultimately was the cause for our entrepreneurial interest. And yes, Sandbox was built because we wanted to continue the amazing experience that started at USO. I can't even imagine where I would be without these experiences (homeless? a consultant? even worse, a banker?)?!

So, along those lines we have to thank Swiss Miss in many ways! This morning she inspired us again, by organizing a fantastic event, part of a series called Creative Mornings. Pentagram designer Michael Bierut spoke about how to work with clients from the perspective of a designer. We loved it and learned something: always try to be a good client, not just a good service provider! Read more about Creative Mornings.
